The Position

Due to growth in our Governance and Risk Advisory services, we are seeking a suitably qualified Internal Auditor to join the team. An integral member of the team, this position works autonomously to provide high-level support on governance, risk management, internal audit, quality assurance and better practice advice to our valued clients. This position is also responsible for providing guidance and mentoring to junior members of the team.  

Key accountabilities will include, but is not limited to:

  • Leading multiple client engagements and supervision of staff and is responsible for budget and quality and timeliness of client deliverables.
  • Conducting meetings either face to face or remotely with clients.
  • Reviewing client business processes and analysing their documentation to improve their processes.
  • Ensuring clients are following legislative requirements and give guidance on better practice approaches.
  • Prepare detailed reports on the results of our work which will be presented to Boards and Audit Committees.
  • Assist the team with the preparation of client proposals.
  • Assist with the preparation and delivery of client workshops.
  • Identifying business development opportunities for the team and Moore Australia.

About You 

  • It would be preferable, but not required, to have a tertiary qualification in Commerce, Accounting, IT, or Business Management.
  • Have a minimum of two-three years within a similar position.
  • Competent in using Excel and other Microsoft Office products.
  • High level written and verbal communications skills.
  • Sound judgement, critical thinking and analytical skills are vital to enable you to successfully perform risk, governance or internal audits.
  • You will also possess a high level of initiative and organisational skills, able to manage work for a variety of clients to achieve deadlines.
  • Your key strengths will be your highly collaborative approach which enables you to build networks and to establish trusting business relationships.
  • A current national police clearance (within six months), Australian working rights and an ability to travel to various locations are essential.
