Our purpose is to help people thrive – our clients, our team, and the communities we live and work. We understand people are our business and, as such, we offer a friendly and professional environment for both our client and team members.

With 20 business partners and over 100 staff, Moore Australia (WA) has grown into one of the state's leading accounting and advisory firms.

As a Senior SMSF Accountant, you will play a key role within our dynamic team, reporting directly to the Associate Director. You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of approximately 200 SMSFs, preparing and reviewing SMSF accounts and tax returns, liaising with external auditors, and providing high-quality service to clients. This is a client-facing role that requires the ability to build and maintain strong relationships while delivering trusted advice and support. You will also provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior team members and contribute to the ongoing success and growth of the SMSF division.

Ideal candidate:

  • 4+ years of experience as an SMSF specialist or in an SMSF-focused role within Business Advisory/Business Services.
  • Proven experience preparing and reviewing SMSF accounts and tax returns to a high standard.
  • Experience using BGL 360 software.
  • CA or CPA qualified, with SPAA/SSA qualifications highly regarded.
  • Strong technical knowledge of SMSF compliance and taxation requirements.
  • Excellent communication and client relationship management skills.
  • Ability to mentor and support junior team members.
