Role Overview

The CFO Advisory Accountant supports a diverse portfolio of clients, including ASX-listed entities, not-for-profit organisations, and small to mid-sized businesses. This role forms part of our CFO Advisory team, delivering fractional CFO services and providing strategic financial and operational support to clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide support at Board and Executive leadership meetings, including preparation of materials and financial insights
  • Assist clients through periods of transformation, growth, or operational change
  • Develop, document, and implement best-practice financial processes and systems
  • Act as an embedded (insourced) member of a client’s finance team when required
  • Deliver management support and financial guidance to client stakeholders
  • Liaise with external advisors, including tax accountants, bankers, insurers, company secretaries, and other corporate consultants
  • Oversee finance operations, including bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, data entry, and accruals
  • Supervise and support accounts payable processes
  • Manage entity consolidations and intercompany transactions
  • Assist in the preparation of annual and interim financial statements
  • Prepare and contribute to technical accounting papers and documentation
  • Prepare quarterly ASX reporting requirements
  • Produce monthly management reports and performance packs

 

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Accounting, or a related field
  • CPA, CA, or equivalent professional qualification (or in progress)
  • Prior experience as an Audit Senior or within a CFO Advisory / outsourced CFO environment
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and analytical capabilities
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Ability to work across multiple clients and adapt to varying business environments
